Dear Mrs Wilson,

My name is Alex from Elm park school, I am writing to say thank you for caring about me when I was seasick, you gave me a paper bag, you also took me to get some fresh air. 

 A highlight of my trip was the long walk to the light house.  Something that surprised me was that one of the bird flew fast between the bushes.  

I enjoyed going to the visitor centre.  My visit to Tiritiri Matangi has taught me that taking care of the environment is important.  I will definitely visit Tiritiri matangi with my family. Thank you again for being nice to me.

I wrote about a spider. I thought of lots of words before I wrote my poem. I am proud of the anagram on the card. I enjoyed colouring in the back of the page. This is everybody's card put together.

I am proud of the colour I used to colour in my name.I was tired because I have to colour in my face until the pastel shrunk when I used it, and I had to hold it on the corner.

Summarising

My reflection I am learning to summarise a text.It was tricky to find key words.I had to read the text carefully a few times.My next learning step is to use what I learnt about summarising and try to do this with other texts.
